Trainees must have held a Class 2 licence for a minimum of 3 months (if over 25 years of age) or 6 months (if under 25 years of age), as well as a 4L licence which they can obtain at any driver licensing agent. A separate charge payable to the licensing agency is applicable for this.
Class 4 Course includes the following:
- 1 day theory covering
- Road Markings
- Weight Distribution
- Stress & fatigue (may also include Unit Standard 24089 if not previously held)
- 1-2 hour Practical assessment (Unit standard 17576)
Upon completion of the course trainees will receive an official Land Transport NZ certificate which they will need to take to any motor vehicle licensing agent, eg; AA or VTNZ, for the endorsement to be applied to their drivers licence. This will be at a seperate cost payable to the licensing agent.
